Best Women's Golf Trousers UK (2026)
A good pair of golf trousers has to stretch through the swing, hold its shape over 18 holes and flatter while doing it, and in winter it also has to keep the wind and wet out. This guide compares women's trousers tested by Golf Monthly, whose women's golf editor Alison Root heads up women's apparel testing with contributors Katie Dawkins, an Advanced PGA Professional, and Carly Cummins. Golf Monthly says its testing revolves around playing a lot of golf, wearing each pair over a number of rounds in rain, cold and sunshine, and also off the course to judge versatility. Twelve of the eighteen pairs in its guide are covered here, split into spring/summer and autumn/winter picks. The source does not rank them, so the badges below describe what each pair does best according to the testers.

Our top pick
Callaway Women's TrueSculpt Pull-on Tech Golf Trousers
Best shaping fit (spring/summer)
A pull-on trouser that Golf Monthly's tester describes as an exquisite fit, thanks to a TrueSculpt panel that flattens and holds everything in. The stretch is rated off the charts and the fabric ultra lightweight, with pockets deep enough for a scorecard or phone. The EcoVero viscose fabric wicks moisture and dries fast enough that a dewy buggy seat is not a problem, and there is enough stretch to wear thermal leggings underneath for year-round golf. The only wish was for bolder colours.
- Shapewear panel gives a beautiful shape
- Size and leg length options give an almost personalised fit

Best premium finish
Peter Millar Bingham High Stretch Ankle Trouser
An exceptionally stretchy pull-on trouser that moved with Golf Monthly's tester yet kept its shape. The fabric is lightweight and very soft, it sits comfortably on the waist and the tester found it incredibly flattering. What sets it apart is the quality of the stitching down the front of the legs and around the pockets, plus double belt loops and concealed zips at the ankles. It machine washes well and works on or off the course, though the ankle length will not suit everyone.

Best value
Puma Women's Everyday Golf Trousers
Golf Monthly says these live up to their name and represent incredible value, since you can happily wear them every day on and off the course. The lightweight stretch fabric has UPF 40 sun protection and neat stitching, and the standout feature is a deep waistband that pulls you in for a flattering shape. The stretch gives complete freedom of movement and they held their shape over 18 holes, with two slant pockets at the front and a welt pocket at the back. The length will not suit everyone.

Best tailored look
J.Lindeberg Women's Pia Trousers
Beautifully tailored trousers that Golf Monthly's tester says are smart enough to wear everywhere, not only on the course. They fit like a dream, with delicately zipped pockets that close up for an almost seamless silhouette, and they are durable, flattering and wash really well. The polyester fabric is lightweight yet surprisingly warm in cooler conditions and dries out. Sizing is on the smaller side, topping out at a 32in waist that the tester equates to a small UK 14, so larger sizes would be a welcome addition.

Best slim leg
Puma Avant Slim Golf Trousers (women's)
Tailored trousers that would look as smart at work as at the club, with a cut Golf Monthly's tester says will particularly suit tall women with slim legs. The elasticated waistband made them very comfortable and gave the freedom to swing fast and unrestricted, and the deep side pockets and back patch pockets hold tees, a glove or a scorecard. The material was the standout: lightweight and soft to the touch, yet windproof with built-in UPF 50 protection and part recycled. The pear-shaped tester struggled with tightness around the hips and upper thighs despite the stretch.

Best true-to-size fit
G/FORE Tour 5 Pocket Women's Trousers
Golf Monthly's tester says it can be difficult to find the perfect fit in trousers, but found it with this pair, which were true to size with plenty of stretch. They sit comfortably on the waist and the fabric is water repellent if you get caught in a shower. G/FORE describes the cut as slim, but the tester found them fairly roomy and definitely not skinny. There are two pockets front and back plus a fifth that is useful for a couple of tee pegs. They might be a touch too warm in the height of summer.

Best summer pattern
Abacus Bovey Trousers
A pinstripe trouser subtle enough to win over a Golf Monthly tester who does not usually go for stripes. In a size 10 (Euro 36) they fitted perfectly, one of the best-fitting pairs she had tried this season, sitting just right on the waist with stretchy fabric that moves with you for a flattering shape. There are two front and two back pockets finished with small silver studs, and a split at the hem adds interest to the 7/8 length cut, which will not suit everyone.

Best fleece-lined winter pair
adidas Women's Ultimate365 COLD.RDY Golf Trousers
Designed to keep you warm and, in Golf Monthly's testing, they do just that. The testers were really impressed by the warmth and the cosy feel of the fleece-like fabric on the inside. They are a slim fit, but with enough stretch for comfort and a flattering shape, and they add slits on the side seam at the bottom of each leg plus two pockets front and back. They are also water repellent. They are not for women who prefer a pull-on trouser.

Best in wet winter weather
FootJoy Women's ThermoSeries Trousers
Golf Monthly rates these among the most comfortable trousers on the market and likes that FootJoy offers two leg lengths. The four-way stretch is described as off the charts, and having worn them in really wet conditions the testers say water literally just beads off. The brushed-back twill retains heat to keep you cosy, and the stretch is such that one tester pulled them on over another pair when temperatures dropped. The jean styling looks smart. They came up slightly large, though not enough to size down, and come in navy only.

Best windproof
Galvin Green Levana Golf Trousers
The coated fabric almost resembles a pair of fashionable jeans, and over 18 holes in autumnal weather with a chill in the air Golf Monthly's tester felt warm and comfortable. They are not fleece-lined, but Galvin Green's Interface fabric makes them very windproof and water resistant thanks to a water-repellent finish. The fabric is soft and stretchy, with curved front pockets and patch pockets at the back. Each size comes in one standard 31.1in leg, which will not suit shorter women.

Best legging-style winter pair
Callaway Thermal Ladies Golf Trousers
Golf Monthly says these are the answer if you prefer wearing leggings to trousers but do not find them warm enough in winter. The super stretch fit moulds to the contours of any leg shape for total swing freedom, and the material is thick yet soft to the touch, adding a barrier to the wind on a cold day. There is a slanted front pocket and a hidden back pocket big enough for a scorecard, and a choice of leg lengths. Some might not like the high waist position.

- Sizes
- Waist 6-20, leg 27/29/32in

Warmest
Ping Kaitlyn II Winter Trousers
Golf Monthly says that if you are shopping for a really warm pair of winter golf trousers, the Kaitlyn II does a fantastic job. The brushed material is thick enough to keep the cold and wind out, yet soft with enough stretch for total swing freedom, and it is shower resistant in light rain. The straight leg tucks easily inside a pair of golf boots, and three leg lengths cover tall to petite. There are several inconspicuous pockets, including a concealed zip-up tee pocket. The straight leg is a little snug, which women with curvier legs may not like.

Buying guide
What should I look for in women's golf trousers?
Golf Monthly's advice is to start with size, knowing your waist and leg measurements or checking your best-fitting existing pair, then think about material, colour and budget. Stretch matters most, because golfers get into different stances and positions and a good pair will stretch to help. Nearly all golf trousers now have some stretch in the fabric, and more brands offer a choice of leg lengths: Callaway's TrueSculpt and Thermal, FootJoy's ThermoSeries and Ping's Kaitlyn II all do.
Pull-on or zip and button?
It comes down to preference. Pull-on styles such as the Callaway TrueSculpt and Peter Millar Bingham were praised for comfort and a flattering shape, and the Puma Avant Slim's elasticated waistband gave the tester freedom to swing unrestricted. If you prefer a traditional fastening with belt loops, the adidas Ultimate365 COLD.RDY is the pair Golf Monthly flags as not for women who want a pull-on.
Which women's golf trousers are warmest for winter?
Golf Monthly's testers singled out the Ping Kaitlyn II as a really warm pair with thick brushed fabric, and were impressed by the warmth of the fleece-lined adidas Ultimate365 COLD.RDY. The FootJoy ThermoSeries retains heat and beaded water off in really wet conditions, the Callaway Thermal suits those who like a legging-style fit, and the Galvin Green Levana is not fleece-lined but is very windproof.
Will the fit suit my shape?
The testers flag this pair by pair. The slim-leg Puma Avant Slim suits tall women with slim legs and was tight on a pear-shaped tester, and the Ping Kaitlyn II's straight leg is a little snug on curvier legs. J.Lindeberg's Pia only goes up to a 32in waist. The G/FORE Tour 5 Pocket was true to size and roomier than its slim-fit label suggests. Ankle and 7/8 lengths (Peter Millar Bingham, Abacus Bovey) will not suit everyone, and the Galvin Green Levana comes in one standard leg length that will not suit shorter women.
